How does leadership learn to lead?

Our principles

  • The process of learning how to lead must suit the complexity of the leadership role and requires other learning methods than simply acquiring facts and tools.
  • The process of learning how to lead takes place by reflecting on one's own leadership as practised and on inputs received. The suitable learning methods for that purpose are Action Learning and "training on the job".
  • The general focus should be directed towards existing resources, successes and potentials, not on deficits, mistakes or faults.
  • The organisation and its leaders and managers are inseparable. They should evolve together.

The process of developing leadership in organisations

  1. Conduct a leadership diagnosis
  2. Develop a leadership mission statement
  3. Define topics for Action Learning
  4. Establish learning and reflection loops within the leadership practice
